From imperial tributes to modern fashion, it has always been a symbol of Oriental aesthetics.
Brocade was first created during the 4700BC in Suzhou, China. It has a bright and delicate surface, is rich to the touch and boasts gorgeous colors The production process of brocade weaving is complicated, and there are dozens of warp preparation processes. Two Millennia of history ,Gambiered Canton silk takes approximately six months to complete. The long production process is attributed to the 30 procedures it passes through including being washed 3 times, 9 boiling's, and 18 separate drying steps. Due to the influence of the climate in Southern China, the silk can only be made during a few months each year. Dry days when the temperature remains 22-28 centigrade without any wind as the water must not infiltrate the fabric especially if the sun is to harsh. Each garment undergoes high-temperature steam disinfection before packaging, ensuring a clean start to its journey with you.
Cleaning Recommendations
To preserve the delicate protein fiber fabrics of our Heritage Collection, avoid frequent cleaning:
• Dry clean only (no machine washing)
• Temperature fluctuations can harden, brittle, or tear the fabric. Slight surface color loss during cleaning is normal.
Drying & Storage Tips
• No tumble drying; avoid wringing. Opt for natural air drying whenever possible.
• Use soft or padded hangers. Keep away from direct/ prolonged light and heat exposure.
• After drying, iron at low temperature or use steam. Turn the garment inside out and choose a gentle cycle.
• Place a cloth between the iron and fabric to prevent scratches.
• Do not use camphor balls (risk of discoloration). Avoid spraying deodorants/ perfumes on the fabric during storage.
